Natural pitting in travertine can accumulate fine particles; dust often or use a handheld vacuum or a soft-bristled brush.
Periodically clean with a damp cloth.
Refrain from using harsh cleaners or abrasive chemicals.
Take special care to avoid contact with common acidic liquids like vinegar, wine, fruit juice, wine, and coffee.
Spills should be immediately cleaned with a gentle cloth.
Protect your furniture by using coasters and trivets.
Avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on the surface of the travertine as it is a porous stone by nature and can be prone to nicks, scratches, and stains.
When moving your piece, never drag or push the stone because doing so could cause it to crack and chip.
Over time, sun and light can cause the colour of the stone/timber to fade. Occasionally rotate items placed on your lime plaster furniture to allow a more uniform colour to develop.
