The safety of our customers is our number one priority. In 2016, we issued a recall notice for selected Adairs Kids and Adairs Adult Bean Bag Covers, however our records indicate a low response rate from our customers. 

If you purchased a beanbag from Adairs between 1 July - 1 September 2016, we strongly encourage you to review the recall notice to identify if your item was impacted. We also encourage you to share this notice with your friends and family.

— What is the defect? —

In contravention of the mandatory standard for bean bags, the warning label is missing the words 'for infant under 12 months of age'. 

— What are the hazards? —

Consumers may not be alerted to the bean bag not being a safe sleeping surface for an infant under 12 months of age.

 

— Next Steps —

Consumers should immediately either: 

Return the bean bag cover to an Adairs store to obtain a refund or store credit,

OR

Contact Adairs Customer Service on 1300 783 005 to obtain a replacement label with the correct warning.
