Having guests stay over soon or just need to refresh your spare bedroom? Interior stylist Kerrie-Ann Jones shows us three easy styling tips to spruce up the guest bedroom featuring warm, summery pieces.
As we gear up for warmer weather, there’s nothing like refreshing your space with warm tones and colours to brighten the space. Two of the key trends you may have seen this season are floral prints and mustard. If you’re looking to add a pop of colour and stepping out of your comfort zone, mustard colour is a versatile colour to work with. We also recommend adding in earthy caramel, terracotta and clay to the mix for a cohesive look your guests will love.
Whether it be your master bedroom or spare bedroom – every room needs to have bed side lighting! It helps create a nice relaxing mood before you sleep, and can be a feature of the room too.
No room is complete without art! As mentioned in our previous Inside Class tips, you can pull colours from wall art to make sure your décor matches – and vice versa. You can hang your artwork above the bed or hang in different areas of the room, like above the chest of drawers or opposite the bed. This final touch will surely make your guests comfortable at home.
